تحديد البيانات و نظرة عامة عن الاحصاء الوصفي و الاستنتاجي

Overview:

As we live in an era of evidence-based medicine where every diagnostic and treatment measure should be evaluated for its merits and compared to other existing measures, healthcare practitioners need to improve their understanding of the different statistical tests in order to polish their medical literature evaluation skills and grab the basic knowledge that would enable them to participate in a practice-based research. Therefore, attending an introductory workshop about the data identification and basic descriptive and inferential statistics should the first step to gain such knowledge.

Objectives:

  • Identify and define the four scales of variable measurement.
  • Describe the properties of the normal distribution and when an alternative distribution should be, or should have been, used.
  • Identify and describe the difference between parametric and nonparametric statistical tests and when their use is most appropriate.
  • Explore different basic descriptive and inferential tests.
