The Research Chair of Health Informatics and Promotion, in collaboration with Telepsychology in Italy, is launching the 5th Essentials of Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare Certificate. Starting 23 August 2025.

The training course aims to equip participants with essential knowledge and foundational skills in AI concepts, modern techniques, and applications in medicine and healthcare, along with a required mini project.

Program Overview

This is a broad-based introductory certificate program in the field of AI in healthcare. It:

  • Equips participants with basic knowledge of AI and its applications in healthcare.
  • Focuses on core Artificial Intelligence concepts relevant to the healthcare industry.
  • Delivers localized and internationally informed content by Medical Informatics and AI experts.
  • Provides weekly online modules (recorded video/presentations) on an independent LMS with a quiz at the end of each module.
  • Allows flexible online access to lectures and quizzes.
  • Includes tutorials and assignments/exercises to reinforce theory and enable self‑progress evaluation.
  • Requires a mini project applying AI in a healthcare context.
  • Awards a certificate of completion to those who finish all modules, quizzes, and the mini project.
